An Easy Jewelry Organization System | Match Your Stackers

Since my youngest days, I’ve been a jewelry girl through and through. After a quick jewelry sort, I realized there was a lot I hadn’t worn in years. I went on an online journey to search for a jewelry organization system that could grow with my jewelry collection over the years.

I love all things sparkly, and earrings are a great way to bring that into my everyday outfits. Recently, I went through my FULL jewelry box and realized there were so many items I hadn’t worn in years because they were hidden away.

After realizing how many items had spent years without being worn, I decided to sort through all my jewelry and get rid of the items that no longer fit my current closet.

First, I went through the earrings as that was my biggest collection. There were very few earrings I got rid of – lol – but I did get rid of about five sets. Unfortunately, many of my earring collections are very classic designs so it was hard to decide what to get rid of!

Next I went through my necklaces and untangled them all. I have very few necklaces but most of them have lots of sentimental value. Even though I don’t wear them often, I couldn’t get rid of them!

Lastly, I went through all my rings and absolutely got rid of … none!

Growing up, earrings were an easy thing to collect but now it’s all about the sparkly rings!

Jewelry Organization Systems

When I was considering various organizational systems, I thought about getting a basic jewelry organizer: something boxy with a flip lid and maybe two or three drawers.

But after spending at least an hour going through all my jewelry and collecting it from all the different hiding spots in my bedroom, I realized that I owned way too much jewelry to settle for only one box.

I also enjoy collecting fun pieces of jewelry for various holidays and occasions, so I knew my collection could only grow from here. If you also enjoy collecting holiday jewelry, like ghost earrings for Halloween, then you know how hard it can be to find the right kind of piece that matches your outfit. “Isn’t that hoarding?” you might ask. Well, I can’t hear you over my dangly earrings!

Anyway, after all that self-reflection, I decided to get a jewelry organizational system that could grow over time, something that wouldn’t confine me to a few basic drawers.

After years of thinking about a jewelry storage system, I finally started one! I’ve always been a lover of sparkly things but I never had a very good storage system for all my sparkly earrings.
